Hello Friends,
I hope my American friends had a great July 4th and my fellow Canadians, I hope your July 1st was a good one!
I wanted to share more of my Europe trip photographs. I tried to arrange them in a way that may be a little more interesting for you then just putting up my vacation pictures! If you like them I will move onto some other color combinations from my trip. I visited the charming and inspiring Columbia Road in London. I really enjoyed visiting the Ryantown shop as Rob Ryan's work is incredible to see in person. Elphik's is wonderful too, I bought some prints there for my children's rooms. If you are taking a trip to London I would highly recommend visiting Columbia Road, just be sure to check the opening times as many of the shops are only open on the weekend when they have the flower market.
For my brief Paris visit I did refer to the beautiful little guide book by Pia Jane Bijerk called Paris Made by Hand. I have nothing but praise for that little book and the wonderful spots she points out to visit.
I visited my favorite shop in Copenhagen called Gronlykke again. There is something about the eclectic mix in that store that gets me really inspired! The gorgeous paper products and cushions by Rie Elise Larson stood out. I love all her graphic patterns and her use of color. I also enjoyed Gronlykke's selection of fabrics upstairs, if you are ever in Copenhagen this is a store to visit! In my brief one day visit to Stockholm I was impressed by the muted palette of the Pure and Simple store. They carry a really pretty range of housewares and fashion that some how all works together. I wish I had seen this city guide before I left! Of course my trip also included long walks and lots of food but I will save those explanations for another time.
How are you doing? I hope you are well and enjoying summer or maybe winter depending on where you are joining me from. I will be blogging a few times over on decor8 this week if you have time come visit me there. See you back here soon. xoleslie
