Trader Joe's & A Little Red

Hello Friends,

I wanted to show you some wrapping I did using my used Trader Joe's holiday shopping bags. I had been admiring the illustrations on their bags and then I read this post by Merrilee of mermag and got very inspired to wrap my little presents using my old shopping bags. I decided to dress them up with a little tape and some twine. I was pretty happy with how they turned out, what do you think? If you live near a Trader Joe's you now have another excuse to head on over or save the bags from your recycle bin. I am sure there are some other nice paper grocery bags that could be used in this way. I think San Vicente Foods in Brentwood CA has nice striped bags...hmmm...can you think of any others?

Holiday Pastels

Hello Friends,

Happy Holidays to you! Here are the photographs from my most recent Color Me Pretty post on decor8. I used lots of muted colors for a relaxing palette. You can read more about these colors here if you missed it.

How is your December going anyways? Time for yourself possibly? Or is that just a dream? Well, I am thinking about you, wondering what you all are up to. I am spending the holidays with a large group of family and friends down in Mexico. We all really miss my Dad and are trying to have a good time without him as terribly difficult as that is at this time of year. Such is life. 

Before I left my studio, I managed to wrap up more gifts and I will be back asap to post some quick shots I took. Until then, take care dear ones.

Color Me Pretty Time

Hello Friends,

I have a new Color Me Pretty for you over on decor8 today. A little holiday cheer that I hope you enjoy in a softer and more muted palette. I also talk about how I love doing "paper quilting" with my decorative tapes. It is a fun way to use up our wonderful bits of precious paper. I will see you back here soon.
