Hello Friends,
I received a bouquet of pink ranunculus last week and it inspired me to do a little color story for you. I know pink is not for everyone but I love pink flowers. Pink blossoms are spring. I know it is still technically winter, but fresh, delicate pink can really lift my spirits. This time around I paired it with a few deeper blues that I had in my studio. Some of the blues include a gorgeous Japanese paper from Flax in San Francisco, patterned boxes from Denmark, some fabrics from Purl Soho and a little ceramic cup with a hand painted bird that I carried home from Kleikollektief in Amsterdam. I was surprised how much blue I had around me.
It is interesting to notice what colors you gravitate towards for different reasons. You may use blue for your dishes but nowhere else or you may be like me and love pink flowers but rarely choose to wear pink shades. I enjoy thinking about ways to let new colors into my life. I may not be able to commit to a pink wall but a large bouquet of pink ranunculus, well, that can make my day.
