Hello,
Happy June to you. Here are my photos from last weeks Color Me Pretty column in case you missed it. I have been traveling the last week and a half so I have some catch up to do around here! For this photograph I wanted to show you a few summer garnishes to make any drink feel festive. A couple raspberries in a lemon soda or dropped into your ice cube tray can spruce things up for a gathering. I have loads of mint growing right now and it too looks nice in a drink.
Decorating some white spray painted jars with japanese washi tape and scrap paper is simple and pretty. They look great filled with single sprigs from the garden. I love little jars and bottles like these running down the center of a dining table.
These happy bowls from Anthropologie seem to brighten up any mood I am in.
I can find any excuse to indulge in a coconut cupcake. One of my favorite recipes for them is this one by Ina Garten. Beware, you may start making them ALL the time!!! I often bake up a storm in July because my husband, daughter and son are all born next month. I love baking cakes for them and our friends.
The fabrics in this series are mostly from Liberty, Purl Soho or vintage sheets.
Lastly, a little folding book I made for some mini polaroids I took while putting this series together. I will be making more of these soon.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting me here. I will be back soon. xoleslie
